Why I'm doing this? Why Vulcanisaeta souniana?

Actually this Archaea was assigned to me by my respected Introductory Microbiology lecturer, Sr. Zaima Azira Zainal Abidin. This is our semester-length assignment for that subject where every student get a microorganism and were asked to find information about 'their' microbes.

But then, why should I re-established that assignment?

Well, when we were given the task to build a website by our respected lecturer, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Noorbatcha, I wonder about what I want to share with my classmates and also the rest of the world. Then I remember how though for me to find informations about my microbe, V. souniana. So, here I try to present all the pieces of information I gathered in my previous assignment in a simpler way, so that not only science students can understand it, but anyone who visits my website. Islam always teaches us to seek beneficial knowledges and share them with others. The more you give, the more you get back. I hope through this way, I can help others who wish to learn something about the world. This is also my first step as a scientist-to-be, in learning how to find information and present it in scientific and interesting way. Acknowledgements

Here I want to acknowledge Takashi Itoh, Ken-ichiro Suzuki, and Takashi Nakase for their journal: Vulcanisaeta distributa gen. nov., sp. nov., and Vulcanisaeta souniana sp. nov., novel hyperthermophilic, rod-shaped crenarchaeotes isolated from hot springs in Japan. IJSEM, (2002), 52, 1097-1104. Which is my main reference in this website and also my Microbe assignment. They are the scientist who first isolate V. souniana and also proposed its naming and classification. You can email to Mr. Itoh here.
